Wood recycler starts new year with series of local sponsorships

UK Wood Recycling has kick started the new year by announcing a series of sponsorships for local causes.

The wood recycler has donated £1,500 to the charitable group The Friends of Locke Park in Redcar. The money has already been used to replace worn and vandalised benches in the park’s rose garden.

In addition the company has donated £100 towards the Stockton-on-Tees Mayor’s Annual Dinner, which is raising money for three charities including the Butterwick Hospice. Last year it also donated money to the Redcar Sea Cadets following a burglary at its premises in October, and the Sembcorp Charities Golf Day.

Vicki Hughes, Group Business Development Director for Hadfield Wood Recyclers, said: “As a business we have always supported local causes as a way of giving back to the community we work and live in and this year we are pleased to support even more causes that will benefit local people.”
